
The Town of Wilton is seeking a detail-oriented, go-getting Land Use Administrator to support the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Select Board. Working closely with the Building Inspector and other town employees under the supervision of the Town Administrator and land use board leadership, this role provides a vital coordination role for managing land use affairs in the Town of Wilton.
Summary
The position will be the operational backbone of Wilton's land use office. The Land Use Administrator manages applications and records, preparing board packets and agendas, attending meetings and recording minutes, processing permits, handling accounts payable and escrow records, and serving as the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and applicants on planning and zoning matters. They also provide support for the Building Inspector and other town personnel for land use record research and other matters. The position also is intended to support general town community development projects, such as the town's MS4 stormwater program, and assist with website maintenance. Salary paid Bi-weekly: $53,000 to $66,000 based on experience and credentials. Eligible for the Town’s 457b Plan (7% match) and Health Benefits.
What Wilton is Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of office management or administrative experience (a college degree is a plus but not required)
- Familiarity with administrative law, NH building code, zoning regulations, and land use processes preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Strong organizational skills, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read plans and blueprints
