-A A +A
Meeting Date:
June 24, 2014

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. at the Wilton Public and Gregg Free Library.  Present were Stanley Young, David Potter, and Nancy Clark.

The May minutes were read and accepted as written.  The Treasurer reported no money had been spent.

Once again, the latest version of the Historic Tour of Wilton text was gone over and discussed and tweaked.  Improvements were made on the accompanying map.

Michael has filmed Jean Vincent for the Oral History Project and plans to question her further in another scheduled session.  Candidates for the next several interviews were discussed.  Scripts will be researched and written to facilitate and shape the upcoming interviews.

Commission members decided upon the days and the hours to man the Heritage Commission information booth at the upcoming Old Home Days celebration, set to coordinate with scheduled activities on the Flat where the booth will be located.   A sign-up sheet has been made and sits upon the desk in the Historical Society’s research room awaiting volunteers’ signatures.  We will share the booth with the Conservation Commission as is the usual practice.

It was decided that photographs and write-ups about the Winter Carnival will be displayed at the Heritage Commission’s booth.  Copies of the newly minted Historic Tour brochure will be on sale, as well.

The meeting adjourned at 8:30.

                                                                                                         Respectfully submitted,

                                                                                                                       Nancy Clark, Secretary
