Dave Wright of Wilton won the Wild Wilton '16 Photo Contest $1000 cash prize for his dramatic photo of a lotus corniculatus, commonly known in North America as bird’s-foot deervetch, a naturalized plant in the pea family. Congratulations, Dave!

Over 50 contestants competed for the Wilton Conservation Commission’s first photo contest during the month of July. The contest, along with citizens science programs, trail walks and a library lecture series coming this winter, are part of the WCC's new community outreach programs. View the contest-photos.


Mission Statement

The Wilton Conservation Commission works to identify environmental and/or socially significant properties within the town to protect these lands for current and future residents . It provides public access to these properties for recreational and educational activities. It forms regional alliances with other towns or agencies to to enhance regional conservation.
